The Pioneer Center For The Performing Arts, Reno, Nevada (unbuilt to due funding constraints); 10’ x 3’, 2023; tile and powder-coated stainless steel.

   

Public Commission Competition Winner. The shapes and color palette of this placemaking installation are inspired by the mid-century modern auditorium on site, The Pioneer Center For The Performing Arts. (See below.) The building—an impressively thin golden geodesic roof structure—is listed on National, State, and City Registers of Historic Places. As such, the design required and received approval from the historic commission and other entities.
